The Muncie TG8FE8008E1PX power take-off transfers power from a compatible Eaton Endurant transmission to a hydraulic pump. This configuration uses the E80 input gear, a non-standard eight-bolt Endurant mounting arrangement, and 12V electric/air shifting.
Its SAE BB output accepts a 1-inch, 15-tooth splined pump shaft through a two- or four-bolt pump connection. The 08 gear option provides a 0.885:1 internal ratio. PTO speed relative to engine speed depends on the transmission application; do not use the internal ratio alone to select pump RPM.
The TG housing is die-cast aluminum to reduce weight and dissipate heat. Its compact layout helps limit interference around the transmission, while the modular design supports service access. Electric control operates the air-shift mechanism, so the installation needs both electrical power and a suitable compressed-air supply.
| Feature | Practical benefit |
|---|---|
| Compact TG housing | Helps fit the pump drive within available chassis space. |
| 12V electric/air shift | Provides switch-operated pneumatic engagement. |
| SAE BB splined output | Connects to a matching 1-inch, 15-tooth pump shaft. |
| Right-side shaft-low arrangement | Positions the output for applications requiring arrangement 1. |

This PTO requires integration with the transmission control module. Correct wiring and vocational control programming allow the transmission to manage PTO engagement for the selected application. Confirm the truck’s existing PTO provisions before choosing the activation components. The hydraulic pump is selected separately.
| System component | Selection requirement |
|---|---|
| Transmission | Verify the exact Endurant model, E80 drive gear, and eight-bolt PTO opening. |
| Transmission controls | Use the specified TCM connections and correct vocational control programming. |
| Air system | Supply the PTO through the required pressure-protection valve. |
| Pump | Match spline, flange, rotation, RPM, and torque demand. |
Size this PTO for the actual duty cycle. Maximum-load operation lasting five minutes or longer is continuous service; use the continuous torque rating for that duty. Engagement must follow the transmission’s approved procedure, with the drive gear stopped as required. Confirm mobile operating capability for the complete application before planning pump-and-roll use.
| Check | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Application identity | Provide the transmission model, chassis year, and existing PTO number. |
| Speed and rotation | Verify the transmission-specific output speed and direction. |
| Controls | Confirm 12V power, air supply, wiring, programming, and included activation components. |
| Mechanical fit | Check the pump connection, shaft engagement, mounting clearance, and support requirements. |
| Operating load | Keep torque, power, and speed within the applicable continuous or intermittent limits. |
