Coxreels 8962-20 inline axle assembly is a replacement axle for the 1185-2024 hand-crank reel and 1185-2024 motorized configurations with the matching inline-swivel arrangement. Replace the axle while retaining serviceable frame, drum and drive components.

Select this part by the reel model and its swivel-side assembly. Axle assembly only; the swivel, bearing blocks, washers, retaining rings and installation hardware are separate components.

Replace the axle in the matching inline assembly

The axle connects the hose outlet and drum with the inline swivel assembly. Matching this configuration helps avoid ordering the different axle used with the optional 90-degree swivel.

Before ordering

Check Requirement
Reel identification Match the model, revision, axle and inline swivel. Hose length alone does not establish fit; confirm older or modified reels.
Service preparation Have qualified personnel disconnect the pressure supply, release line pressure and isolate any motor drive before service. Follow the reel manual and exact assembly drawing.
Assembly alignment Retaining rings must fully seat in the axle grooves. The opposite bearing-block end requires a 1/16- to 1/8-inch gap to its retaining ring and washer.
Thrust washer and lubrication Fit the coated side of the thrust washer outward, away from the swivel-side bearing block, and use an appropriate swivel lubricant during assembly.
Operating limits Keep the completed reel and installed hose within their marked pressure and temperature ratings; stop the pressure supply if leakage occurs.
