Air-to-Close Spray Valve, Aluminum, 3" Grooved Ends, 1/8" FNPT Air Port, UnitedBuilt AV1100F

The UnitedBuilt AV1100 is the latest generation of UnitedBuilt’s original OEM air-operated water truck spray valve design. Developed specifically for demanding water truck applications, the UnitedBuilt AV9030 and its successor, the AV1100, established a proven valve design that has since been widely imitated throughout the water truck industry—an original design honored by imitations.

Introduced in 2011 as the improved successor to the legacy UnitedBuilt AV9030, the AV1100 maintains the same proven installation footprint while incorporating an updated internal seal design for improved reliability and easier service. The AV1100 is directly interchangeable with the discontinued AV9030, allowing an existing valve to be replaced without modifying the truck's 3" grooved plumbing connections.

The AV1100 is built around a durable die-cast A380 aluminum body and cap, providing the strength required for severe water truck service while keeping the assembly lightweight. Its serviceable urethane diaphragm assembly uses replaceable internal components, allowing normal wear items to be repaired without replacing the complete valve.

Designed to maximize flow while minimizing water hammer, the AV1100 uses controlled air-to-close operation to reduce hydraulic shock within the water truck plumbing system. An internal spring keeps the valve seated under static water pressure when the truck is shut down and control air is depleted. During operation, releasing control air allows water pressure from the pump to open the valve and provide consistent flow to the spray nozzles.

With 3" grooved inlet and outlet connections, the AV1100 can be installed inline as a control valve or at the end of a spray line. It is well suited for rear spray bars, front and side sprays, adjustable fan nozzles, flushing nozzles, and other compatible water truck spray-system configurations.

Designed and manufactured in the USA, the genuine UnitedBuilt AV1100 continues the legacy of the original AV9030 with a serviceable, field-proven design built specifically for water trucks.
