Metal-to-metal gate sealing: choose another valve design when a high degree of closed-valve sealing is required.
The Chandler 1040-0000 MZ 3-inch brass lever gate valve is a manually operated Metaltecnica Zanolo valve with 3-inch female NPT connections at both ends. Its lever moves the gate through an angular closing motion, providing local control on compatible tank and transfer piping.
This threaded Article 0031 valve is designed for slurry and dense-fluid service on agricultural and industrial tankers, including vacuum-truck installations. Confirm the fluid, piping, and required shutoff performance before choosing it. A metal-to-metal gate does not offer the same sealing characteristics as a soft-seated or other high-seal valve.
Manual control for tank piping
The hand lever provides direct valve operation without an electrical or pneumatic control supply. Female NPT ends accept matching male pipe threads, while the brass body suits applications that specifically call for this material and valve design. Leave sufficient space above and around the valve for the lever to travel fully and for later service.
