Questions about this product?

UnitedBuilt Choice Brass 90° Street Elbow 3400X8 changes the direction of a threaded pipe connection by 90 degrees. It has 1/2" Male NPT x 1/2" Female NPT connections and a brass body.

One male end threads into a female port, and the female end accepts a male pipe fitting. The street-elbow configuration makes this change of direction without adding a separate nipple between the elbow and the female port.

A connection that fits your layout

Select this fitting by its connection arrangement, not just its part number. Matching the male and female ends to the adjoining components helps avoid unnecessary adapters and incorrect thread combinations.

Feature Benefit
90° change of direction Routes a connection around a corner.
Male x female ends Connects a female port directly to a male pipe fitting.
Equal nominal sizes Keeps both connections at the same nominal pipe size.

Before ordering

Check both sides of the connection and the space around it before ordering. For a replacement, compare the existing fitting and mating ports rather than relying on the appearance of a similar brass part.

Check What to confirm
Mating connections Confirm the mating thread sizes and genders match 1/2" male NPT and 1/2" female NPT.
Thread identification Nominal pipe size is not the measured outside diameter. Check thread form as well as size; do not select by diameter alone.
Service conditions Confirm the fitting and mating components are suitable for your fluid, working pressure and temperature.
Installation Check engagement, wrench access and clearance; follow the applicable assembly and sealing instructions.
Special applications Verify any required potable-water, gas or air-brake approvals before selecting this fitting for those services.
