The Dixon Style 30 aluminum swivel joint provides a rotating connection between matching male NPT fittings in a hose or piping installation. These variants have female NPT connections on both ends, nitrile pressure and dust seals, and carbon-steel ball bearings.
Select the nominal size and manufacturer part number below for the connection you need. The standard seal, bearing, and grease configuration is the same across the listed sizes; special-service configurations must be evaluated separately.
| Feature | Benefit |
|---|---|
| 360-degree movement | Allows rotation at the joint rather than forcing all movement into the connected hose. |
| Two spaced bearing raceways | Support the rotating assembly. |
| Dust seal | Helps protect the bearing and seal areas from outside contamination. |
| Hydrostatic testing | Each swivel is pressure-tested by Dixon before shipment. |
| Nominal size | Manufacturer part number | Connections |

| Check | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Connection and clearance | Match both male NPT fittings to the selected size and confirm room for the required movement. |
| Hose behavior | For twist compensation, verify that the hose can develop enough torque to turn the swivel before it kinks. |
| Fluid and temperature | Confirm compatibility of the fluid with aluminum, nitrile seals, bearings, and grease; verify the application pressure and temperature. |
| Special services | Consult Dixon for oxygen, steam, submerged, or vacuum applications. Standard carbon-steel bearings are not the recommended submerged-service selection. |
| Maintenance | Lubricate periodically according to operating conditions; Dixon notes twice yearly is normally sufficient. |
| California warning | Contains lead, associated with cancer and reproductive harm under California Proposition 65. |
