The Dixon Style 40 aluminum swivel joint provides a rotating connection between matching male NPT fittings in a hose or piping installation. These variants have female NPT connections on both ends, nitrile pressure and dust seals, and carbon-steel ball bearings.

Fluid and temperature Confirm compatibility of the fluid with aluminum, nitrile seals, bearings, and grease; verify the application pressure and temperature.
Special services Consult Dixon for oxygen, steam, submerged, or vacuum applications. Standard carbon-steel bearings are not the recommended submerged-service selection.
Maintenance Lubricate periodically according to operating conditions; Dixon notes twice yearly is normally sufficient.
