The Elkhart Brass Sidewinder EXM2 7100HDX2 is a heavy-duty electric water monitor designed for demanding mobile and industrial applications including water trucks, mining, construction, dust control, and wildland firefighting equipment. Its heavy-duty, high-torque motors are designed for continuous-use applications where durability and reliable remote positioning are critical.
Built on Elkhart Brass's EXM2 CANbus J1939 control platform, the 7100HDX2 can be operated using compatible Elkhart wired or wireless controls or integrated into compatible OEM and third-party J1939 CAN control systems. The published EXM2 CAN communication protocol provides control of monitor movement, motor speed, nozzle pattern, water valve functions, presets, oscillation, stow functions, and auxiliary outputs, allowing the monitor to be incorporated into sophisticated vehicle and equipment control systems.
The EXM2 platform also provides absolute position sensing, programmable travel limits and keep-out zones, programmable travel speeds, STOW, DEPLOY and OSCILLATION functions, along with integrated water valve control. Built-in Wi-Fi simplifies system configuration and programming during installation and setup.
With 350° horizontal travel and 135° vertical travel, the Sidewinder EXM2 provides broad coverage while allowing the operator to direct the water stream remotely from a protected operating position. Its rugged construction, sealed motors and control components, and hard-anodized Elk-O-Lite® aluminum waterway make it well suited for severe-duty vehicle installations.
The 7100HDX2 is compatible with 12V or 24V DC electrical systems, making it suitable for a wide range of vocational trucks and off-road equipment.
Important: Product images may show the monitor equipped with a nozzle for illustration. Nozzle is sold separately.
