Includes one monitor, one 350 GPM nozzle, one joystick with mounting enclosure, and one 15-foot CANbus harness. Water valve and quick disconnect are not included.
The Elkhart BrushHawk 8495 water cannon monitor kit brings together the monitor, electric nozzle, proportional joystick, and communication harness for a remote-controlled water cannon installation. The included monitor, part number 08495002, has a 2-inch FNPT inlet and 1.5-inch MNHT outlet.
The included 5000-24E(D) nozzle is the fixed-flow 350 GPM configuration, rated at 100 psi nozzle pressure. Its electric actuator changes the spray pattern from straight stream to fog. It does not provide selectable gallonage. For water truck builds and upfits, confirm the available water supply, mounting arrangement, electrical supply, and intended operating conditions before selecting the package.
The proportional joystick controls up/down and left/right movement; moving it farther from center increases monitor movement speed. A rocker switch on the joystick adjusts the nozzle pattern, so the operator can change direction and spray pattern from a protected control location. Integrated monitor electronics eliminate the need for a separate intermediate control module.
| Feature | Benefit |
|---|---|
| Proportional joystick | Adjust monitor direction and movement speed from the operator station. |
| Electric pattern adjustment | Change between a straight stream and fog without manually turning the nozzle. |
| 15-foot CANbus harness | Connect the monitor and joystick for control communication; plan the cable route before installation. |
| Integrated monitor electronics | Keep the control layout compact without a separate intermediate control module. |
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Included nozzle flow | 350 GPM at 100 psi nozzle pressure; fixed-flow 5000-24E(D), part 05000058. |
| Monitor capacity | 500 GPM maximum monitor flow rating; this is not the included nozzle's rated flow. |
| Monitor pressure limit | 200 psi maximum monitor operating pressure; this is not the nozzle's rated operating point or a complete-system pressure rating. |
| Monitor connections | 2-inch female NPT inlet; 1.5-inch male NHT outlet; no quick disconnect. |
| Electrical supply | 12 or 24 VDC; monitor and joystick require separately connected power and ground leads. |
| Component construction | Aluminum monitor with red urethane finish; aluminum nozzle construction. Materials vary across the package. |
| Monitor travel combinations | 350° horizontal with -30° to +90° vertical; or 180° horizontal with -30° to +90° or -45° to +45° vertical. |
Each component below is included once. The joystick's trigger and valve switch require a compatible optional BrushHawk valve to control water on/off; the four included components do not add a water shutoff valve.
| Component | Included selection |

|---|---|
| Pump and plumbing | Confirm the system can supply the nozzle's required flow and pressure after plumbing losses. Follow the limits of every installed component. |
| Joystick location | The joystick is not sealed. Install it inside the cab or a protected compartment where it will not encounter water or other liquids. |
| Power wiring | The CANbus harness is for communication. Provide separate power wiring and circuit protection according to the applicable installation instructions. |
| Water shutoff and accessories | Valve kit and quick disconnect are excluded. Select any required valve, adapters, mounting hardware, and additional installation components separately. |
| Clearance and travel stops | Check the full monitor-and-nozzle sweep. A 350° horizontal setting requires the -30° to +90° vertical setting. Follow the applicable manual for mounting, wiring, stop adjustment, and commissioning. |
