The Peterson M290C LED license light is a single-diode, top-mount lamp for 12 V license-plate lighting. It has stripped wire leads for a wired connection and a 0.95-inch spacer for the top-mount arrangement.

The compact lamp surface-mounts on 2-inch centers above the plate. Select this version when the installation calls for a top-mounted license light rather than a side-mount lamp, a plug-terminated model or a complete license-plate bracket assembly.

Voltage Match a 12 V circuit; M290C is not the separate -MV multi-voltage version.
Plate position A single lamp is DOT-compliant only when correctly installed with the spacer; confirm the lamp position and illumination of the plate.
Mounting pattern Check the 2-inch hole centers and available room above the plate.
Wiring Plan a suitable connection for stripped leads; this model does not have an AMP, PL10 or bullet plug.
