Questions about this product?

The Cole Hersee 1232 trailer socket is a four-pole round, flange-mounted connector for vehicle electrical connections. Its protective door helps keep debris away from the terminals when the mating plug is removed.

The socket provides four separate circuits in a zinc die-cast housing. Select it by the round connector pattern and circuit assignments, not simply by the number of conductors: a four-pole round socket is a different connection format from a flat trailer connector.

A protected round connection

Feature Benefit
Protective socket door Helps shield unused terminals from dirt and debris.
Flanged body Provides a mounting interface for the vehicle panel or bracket.
Four individual poles Allows four circuit functions to be assigned and checked separately.

Before ordering

Check What to confirm
Connector match Confirm the mating plug dimensions and round-pin arrangement; pole count alone does not establish compatibility.
Circuit assignments Verify each circuit, including the grounding arrangement, before connecting the plug.
Wire and load Match conductor size and each circuit load to the socket rating and application requirements.
Mounting clearance Check flange attachment, rear wiring space and room for the socket door to open.
Installation Disconnect power before installation and test the completed connection before service.
