This straight hose adapter joins a compatible 1-1/2-inch-ID hose to a -24 male JIC connection. The hose-barb end and female swivel end serve different purposes: one attaches to the hose, while the other connects to the matching hydraulic fitting. Connect hose to a 37-degree JIC fitting

The female JIC nut can turn during installation while the hose remains in its selected position. Its seal is made at the mating 37-degree flare surfaces, not by sealing the threads. The straight body keeps the connection in line where a directional change is not required; check the available hose route and minimum bend radius separately.
