This internal-hex plug closes a matching SAE O-ring boss port when the equipment design permits the opening to be unused. The ORB connection uses straight threads and an O-ring sealing arrangement at the port. It must not be selected as a substitute for a tapered pipe plug simply because both carry a similar nominal inch size.
