Requires a compatible Ford 10R140 transmission with the factory PTO option.
The Muncie F22F1312DX51XPB clutch-shift power take-off supplies mechanical power for remote-driven auxiliary equipment on compatible 2024 and newer Ford F-650 and F-750 diesel trucks. This configuration combines 12V electric/hydraulic engagement with a 1-1/4" round keyed output shaft and dual stationary/mobile operation.
For a water pump or other driveline-driven load, selecting the correct PTO involves more than matching the truck model. Confirm the transmission, factory PTO equipment, shaft connection, operating speed, and required duty cycle so the PTO and driven equipment work together.
The DX configuration uses standard electric/hydraulic clutch engagement. Muncie Start is not included. If your application requires modulated engagement to reduce startup torque spikes, consider the F22F1312DS51XPB configuration and confirm its suitability for the driven load.
The F22 also uses spring-loaded rattle-abatement technology to help reduce gear noise. Its 1X output provides a round keyed shaft for a remote-drive connection; select the matching driveline or coupling for the equipment being powered.
| Feature | Practical benefit |
|---|---|
| PB dual-mode configuration | Supports stationary and mobile operation with the appropriate controls and programming. |
| 1-1/4" round keyed shaft | Provides the mechanical connection for remote-driven equipment. |
| 12V electric/hydraulic activation | Controls clutch engagement through the vehicle-compatible activation system. |
| Spring-loaded rattle abatement | Helps reduce transmission gear rattle. |

| Intermittent power | 50 HP at 1,000 PTO RPM; stationary application |
The internal 1.18:1 gear ratio and the application’s 130% engine-speed figure describe different relationships. Use the application-specific PTO speed when checking the driven equipment’s RPM requirements.
The listed torque and horsepower ratings apply to intermittent stationary service. Dual-mode capability does not establish the same allowable load for mobile operation. Confirm mobile and continuous-duty requirements for the intended installation.
| Application | Selection requirement |
|---|---|
| Remote water pump | Match input rotation, shaft connection, operating speed, and required power. |
| Remote hydraulic pump | Verify driveline compatibility and the pump’s speed and torque requirements. |
| Stationary auxiliary equipment | Confirm intermittent or continuous duty and the required engine-speed setting. |
| Mobile auxiliary equipment | Confirm mobile-duty limits and program the engine RPM limit for the driven equipment. |
Includes the Muncie three-position stationary/mobile rocker switch, separate indicator light, dash mounting hardware, and dual-mode control module and harnesses. Use the supplied Muncie switch; Ford auxiliary switches are not compatible with dual-mode operation. Program stationary and mobile settings separately, and confirm a suitable mobile RPM limit during installation.
Confirm driveline and coupling requirements for your truck before ordering. Installation requires the transmission’s PTO drive gear to be present and must follow Muncie’s mounting, wiring, and operating instructions.
| Check | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Vehicle and transmission | Model year, diesel engine, 10R140 transmission, and factory PTO option. |
| Output connection | 1-1/4" keyed-shaft interface, driveline alignment, clearance, and guarding. |
| Controls | Plan mounting and wiring for the included Muncie controls; program stationary and mobile modes separately. |
| Operating limits | Required speed and load for stationary, mobile, and continuous-duty use. |
| Overspeed protection | Check driven-equipment limits; optional overspeed protection is sold separately. |
