Unlike a fixed-gallonage nozzle, the SM-10FE(D) automatically adjusts to the available water supply to help maintain effective stream velocity and reach as system flow changes. This is especially useful on water trucks, where pump output can vary with engine speed, plumbing configuration, and other system demands.
The 12V electric actuator allows the operator to remotely adjust the nozzle from a concentrated straight stream through narrow fog to wide fog. Spinning fog teeth provide broad, effective water coverage, while the remote electric operation allows pattern adjustment from a compatible cab-mounted switch, joystick, or water cannon control system.
Constructed from lightweight, hard-coated aluminum for demanding mobile and industrial service, the SM-10FE(D) also features a manual override for stream-pattern adjustment if electrical control is unavailable.
