The UnitedBuilt 6V4700 VisionTank™ On/Off-Road Water Truck combines a UnitedBuilt 4,700-gallon steel tank with a 2027 Peterbilt 548 chassis rated at 66,000 pounds GVWR. Powered by a 330-horsepower PACCAR PX-9 engine and an Allison 3500-RDS automatic transmission, this tandem-axle water truck is built for demanding dust-control, construction, road-maintenance and jobsite water-delivery applications.
The UnitedBuilt modified-trapezoid VisionTank™ profile improves rearward visibility while providing the water capacity required for large jobs. Its 3/16-inch ASTM A36 steel construction includes curved, fully welded baffles and heads, a full-length belly plate with full-penetration welds, heavy-duty cradle runners and six-point mounting hardware.
Water is delivered by a UnitedBuilt M3ZRMS 4x3 centrifugal water pump rated at 750 GPM. The pump is driven through a balanced driveline by a Muncie A20A1010HX31XPX clutch-shift PTO. This PTO operates at 131% of engine speed with the Allison 3500-RDS and is configured for pump-and-roll operation, allowing the spray system to operate while the truck is moving.
Six independently controlled spray valves, an Elkhart Nitro HD water cannon, a manual-rewind Coxreels hose reel, self-loading equipment and Schedule 40 stainless-steel plumbing provide versatile water placement and filling capabilities. Spray-system functions are controlled from a cab-mounted enclosed aluminum console with independent spray-valve switches, a flush-mounted cannon joystick and a dash-mounted PTO switch.
